Recently, the ICCOA Bluetooth Channel Sounding Technical Standards Seminar, co-initiated by the Intelligent Connected Car Open Alliance (ICCOA) and the Bluetooth Technology Alliance, and co-hosted by YFtech, was successfully held at the Civil Aviation International Conference Center. The event attracted representatives from over 80 member units, including mobile phone manufacturers, car manufacturers, digital key solution providers, and Bluetooth module and chip manufacturers. YFtech engaged in vibrant technical discussions and showcased a range of products and real-car demonstrations, collaborating with industry experts to explore Bluetooth Channel Sounding technology, thereby promoting the prosperity of the intelligent vehicle connectivity industry.

Bluetooth Technology Iteration and New Perspectives on Digital Key Design

Zeng Ruoxing, a digital key product expert at YFtech, highlighted the significance of intelligent automotive solutions in the evolving automotive industry, with digital key systems being crucial for smart access and user experience.

With continuous advancements in Bluetooth technology, YFtech combines theory with practice, drawing on extensive mass production project experience to analyze the fundamental principles and challenges of current digital key system design. For automotive scenarios, YFtech conducted repeated simulations of RF effects, establishing rational module design and layout guidelines. Furthermore, YFtech innovatively proposed a positioning algorithm framework compatible with Bluetooth RSSI radio characteristics, enhancing the stability and reliability of digital key systems. YFtech also developed an automated signal parameter acquisition and calibration system using a mobile robotic arm, improving development efficiency and product quality.


BLE 6.0 CS: Embracing a New Era of Innovation

High-Precision Distance Measurement

BLE Channel Sounding uses phase difference and time-of-flight methods for more accurate distance measurement, making digital key system positioning more precise and reliable. 

High Security

BLE Channel Sounding employs TOF distance measurement and DRBG (Distributed Random Bit Generator) to resist relay attacks, making it an ideal choice for digital key systems to prevent security risks. 

Compatibility and Usability

Unlike additional UWB chips and supporting antennas, upgrading to Channel Sounding-compatible Bluetooth chips doesn’t require device manufacturers to redesign layouts, offering broader application compatibility.


Zeng Ruoxing stated that these new features will bring transformative innovation to the development of digital car keys. Looking ahead, YFtech will continue to participate in ICCOA’s standard-setting efforts, actively following the BLE 6.0 Channel Sounding implementation process, and maintaining close cooperation with industry peers to provide users with safer and more convenient smart mobility experiences.
